![]() Getting clean beauty products can be a daunting and overwhelming task. It’s hard to know what is clean and what’s not especially when beauty ingredients are not often things we are familiar with. That’s why the “Think Dirty” app is so awesome! You no longer have to wonder or research your own products and ingredients you can just simply scan the barcode! Even if the product you are looking at isn’t in the system you can request it to be added by answering a few simple questions! It’s super cool and takes the hassle and time out of learning what’s what.
![]() 1. Acure My favorite clean beauty brand for skin care items like facial scrubs, masks and glow serums. Oooh la la. These products effing work too. They have different products for different skin types or what you’re looking to do with your skin. The “brightening” series is my absolute favorite and the facial scrub works magic on dry skin. It’s a must try. They have hair products as well like shampoos, conditioners and dry shampoo. The only product that is hit or miss from them that I’ve tried is the deodorants. But don’t worry I have the best natural deodorant for you in #3 and ya girl knows deodorant! ![]() 2. Beautycounter This is another clean, non-toxic beauty company that has it all! This one’s for all my makeup wearers. I personally haven’t made a complete switch yet, but I’m trying to! It takes awhile to knock out all your products (you don’t have to do this all at once). Beautycounter has so many shades of foundation that match any and all skin types and colors! I am borderline obsessed with their make up products and knowing that they're clean is just icing on the cake. Right now, I use their flawless in five make up set that comes with foundation, tinted sunscreen or a blush, eyebrow pencil, concealer, mascara and a lip gloss. I got some of my friends and family to make the switch too and they're loving the skincare products! My 65 year old mom is currently obsessed with the tripto-peptides cream and swears it's making her neck stop aging. I'm telling you guys, these products are pure gold. You can check out all their amazing products by clicking here. ![]() 3. Primally Pure If I lived in the States still I’d be broke because I’d be spending alllll my money on their products. They got everything! Skin care, hair products, lip balms, men’s products, baby products, they even make CBD oil you guys and their deodorants are THE BOMB. They are a bit on the pricey side but so is going to the doctor for weird skin rashes every month so... pick your poison. The owner, Bethany McDaniel, has a vision I can get behind: check out what she says, “Bethany began Primally Pure out of her passion for real, recognizable ingredients - not just on her plate, but in her skincare products.” YES! Don’t you just love a business with a real passion for doing some dang good. I’m sure there are plenty more but these are my top 3 for sure, must buys. If you have any you absolutely love, leave it in the comments! I'd love to find more awesome brands! The chemicals mentioned before, that are inside these toxic beauty products can easily cause digestive issues, inflammation of your skin and your insides, fatigue, confusion, irritability/mood changes and so much more which in turn will significantly increase your anxiety and promote poor gut health because if you remember above… your body is all interconnected. So, take a little extra care of it today and get yourself some of these awesome new products you can feel good about!
If you’re concerned about your beauty products make sure you download the ‘Think Dirty’ app on your phone and start scanning away! You’re going to be so shocked and so motivated into changing up some of your products. Everything in this article is also very much true for toxic home products like; detergents, cleaning sprays, pesticides etc. but I'll share another blog post on that later! I also just learned about the "largest clean beauty store on the planet!" Credo. Can't wait to get back to the States to go geek out in there and find more amazing products!!
